Model: Superserver
concurrently: 3 databases, 3 users, script instances - not sure but upto
100 probably more

However we have just upgraded to apache 2.2.6 and the problem seems to
have disappered. I currently have all my 5 senses concentrated on our
sites to acertain that the problem has indeed disappeared.

Interesting how a system that worked well for over 4 years started
misbehaving overnight.
