Here's my 2 cents worth....i'd try rebooting the server. I've seen instances where even stopping/restarting a Windows service (and any related services) doesn't correct a "situation". Required a full server reboot.

Thanks for all replies.

I'm in the process of getting all users out of the system. I will try:

1) stop/restart the service

2) drop and recreate the index

3) sign on as the user and try to post her entries.

If all that doesn't work, backup/restore here we come.

Unless you're using classic, it's probably also worth restarting
the server before you resort to backup/restore.
