2. How is the UDF declared in the database?

3. How is UDFAccess configured in your firebird.conf?

4. Do you have the needed Microsoft runtimes installed on the
computer? (msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll)?

5. If your database or your column uses a character set that is not
NONE, does your UDF conflict with the changes in character set
handling in Fb 2.x?
