Hello Helen,
thank you for your immediate and profound reply.
The your explanation and the section "Configuring
Embedded Server JDBC Driver" in the JayBird "release_notes.pdf"
for JayBird 2.1.1 and the page
"http://www.firebirdsql.org/manual/ufb-cs-embedded.html"
helped to sharpen my understanding of accessing the Embedded Server
with JayBird.
The usage of the FIREBIRD environment under Java has made the difference!
The good news to our update project:
1. Version 2.0.2 (where CORE-1279 is fixed) is coming soon.
2. The little test class that provoked an CORE-1279 with the
Superserver does not show an error with the Embedded Server.
