Hello
My customer will have a new server for running Firebird.
Since it will be 2 x Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5310 with 4GB RAM, so I'm
thinking about installing Firebird Classic (Linux - CentOS - recognized 8
processors)
There will be three databases:
DB1:
Empty: ~ 4.5 MB
Current: ~ 2.2 GB
Page size: 4096
Average load: ~ 50 - 60 connections
Top load: ~ 90 - 95 connections
DB2:
Empty: ~ 3,3 MB (only tables, indices and generators)
Current: ~ 200 MB
Page size: 4096
Average load: ~ 10 - 15 connections
Top load: ~ 20 connections
DB3:
Empty: ~ 2,7 MB (only tables, indices and generators)
Current: ~ 200 MB
Page size: 4096
Average load: ~ 10 - 15 connections
Top load: ~ 20 connections
DB2 and DB3 are used by one application (unfortunately not mine) so when it
starts it opens both databases at once.
I need advice how to set parameters in firebird.conf for optimum
performance.
TIA
Marcin
