Subject Re: [firebird-support] Firebird on Windows - "default port"?

as Daniel said, is there any reason of Fbclient read firebird.conf?

i mean:
in most cases, fbclient will not be on a server so will not find it...
the default port is 3050 so if it is not set in connection string,
fbclient should use it and not try to detect it by searching an .conf file

in my mind, fclient is for clients and does not have to be influenced by
server configuration
