I didn't suggest that RedHat is no good. I just wanted to mention
that Ubuntu + Firebird is a viable and very stable solution. I rarely
ever hear about someone using Ubuntu Server with Firebird, so I
thought I would give it a mention with confidence of using that combo
for a long time now.

BTW Milan, thanks for the excellent fbexport tool! It got me out of a
bind a while back :)
