Certainly is, but it won't authenticate users against the AD controller.
For that, you'll have to do it in your application code.
For one of my applications, I store user accounts, roles and permissions in
simple tables in Firebird (tbl_user, tbl_role, tlnk_roleperms), and I
authenticate using PHP against the AD. That way, when people change their
domain account (AD), access to the Firebird-powered application remains
seamless, as authentication is still done against the AD.

Hi to all,
Is it possible to run firebird on an active directory based domain
