We use it in our commercial product, and essentially donate a good
portion of the license fees we used to pay for InterBase to the Firebird
project (at least last I heard). I think we've supported some specific
features as well.

I'd like to strongly recommend doing the same, I'm sure any amount would
be appreciated.
