This is probably an open ended question but an guidance would be appreciated.

As far as server hardware goes, for a Linux environment, using Firebird 2.0.1 Classic, what's
a good recommended processor configuration.

We have mostly used Xeon's and been relatively happy, but are looking into the dual and
quad cores. Will Firebird take advantage of these?
