I use one of the Data Providers from this page

on the version of Firebird that I'm using for the project. It looks
like ODBC drivers can be found on this page
http://www.firebirdsql.org/index.php?op=files&id=odbc. If you are
using a .Net project the .Net providers are very well written and easy
to work with. The developers have done a really good job with them.
