Hi All,
I am unable to connect to embedded .fdb that is located in directory that contain foreign characters.
When I try to connect to the same .fdb with IBExpert, I'm getting this:
"I/O error for file "c:\?????????\AppData.fdb"
Error while trying to open file.
The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect"
Instead of the foreign characters, ????????? are shown.
Connection string looks good. When I copy the same .fdb to "c:\vlad", I am able to connect fine.
Is this a limitation of firebird embedded? Please help.
My specs: WinXp, Firebird embedded 2.0
Thanks,
Vlad
