I want to install an application that will connect to remote FB 1.5.4
database server (windows 2003) on client computer that has already
installed with FB 1.5.2 server that using port 3051 for other local
application.
My application using port 3050. Local FB did not put its fbclient.dll
in c:\windows\system32, so I use that directory for my 1.5.4 fbclient.dll.
While local old FB still running its service, I try to run my
application that connect to remote FB server, an error raised...No
connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it...
My app can connect to remote FB if the local FB has uninstalled. I
forget to try how it will going if I just stop the local FB service.
My goal is both applications can run together along with old local FB
that run its service through 3051. Any clues?
TIA
