Hi All,
Has anyone come across this error before?
It happened yesterday at 3pm. This morning the server also had to be
restarted but nothing was recorded in the firebird log (nor anything
significant in the windows event logs). It's running 50-80 users over
a leased line at the moment and has been fine for quite some time
(years).
The users were losing their connection to the db but able to get back
in again - until they hit a connection limit that the software imposes
(80). However, MSExchange was affected by some comms problem on the
line recently too but the IT manager on site maintains that nothing
has changed. Co-incidentally, British Telecom were carrying out a
survey around the time the issues starting cropping up.
Could it be that the orphan connections are growing and perhaps having
the 203 is coming from connection limits being exceeded? or something
else?
Thanks,
Tom
