Subject Cannot start transaction for password
Author rpsbatista
Hi!

I'm using a Firebird Database Server (1.5.4) running on a Linux machine
(CentOS 4).
I have a Excel file that connects to Firebird server via ODBC
(Firebird ODBC driver 1.2.0.69) to update cells (this file creates 700
connections to Firebird server).
When I try to update the Excel file, the updates starts, but the
following error happens "Cannot start transaction for password
database".
When the error occurs, the Firebird Server blocks and all applications
connected to the server also blocks.

To solve the problem, I must kill the Firebird server process.

Anyone knows how to solve this problem?

Thanks,
