There is a FB4DLL project that uses IBPP library to expose all the
Firebird API stuff to Visual Basic. VB users can load this as just
another DLL library and use it's functions. I haven't checked whether
it exposes the all the API calls, but IBPP does and it would probably
be rather trivial to add support for anything:
