I don't think so - this is getting Firebird working properly on Linux?

Mandriva 2007.1 with Firebird and Flamerobin from 'contributed' - have not
managed to get 2008.0 installed on this hardware as yet :(

Remote access is disabled at present - I have to request the portal is opened,
but the manager is away today :( But I know that the 'answer' is the same as
the machine here and on a second site which is working fine.

Configuration is as installed by the .rpm and Firebird run's fine ON the box,
it's only access from the client windows machines that is slow.

Ping sub 1ms - access to apache/PHP is fast - and that accesses Firebird
local on the linux box.

I'm getting the site to ADD these machines to their DNS server manually - when
the guy who knows how gets back ;)

The duplicate machine here is not showing any problems.
All I've done is a clean load and set up Apache, PHP and Firebird. The problem
only happens when plumbed into the local network on site.
( I have spent a couple of hours trying to get SuperServer working here
without success but that's another problem - Classic should work fine )

Running TightVNC since it's transparent between Linux and Windows. Access TO
the site is secure ( hence not being able to access at present )
