record is the Mandriva 2007.1 with the Firebird and Flamerobin from the
contributed packages. The 'copy' here is only showing the slightly slower
response between windows and linux servers, but working fine!
The problem I have is where do I learn about these sorts of problems.
Accessing Firebird on the Windows box on this site is fine - accessing the
Linux box is simply very slow :(
