There was a discussion, in the Firebird-Architect group, about
automatically ressetting the transaction number counter. I don't quite
remember exactly when it took place, but I know that Jim and Ann did
participate in that discussion.

That wouldn't be a surprise to me. I noticed today that my
development database still had the last changed timestamp as of early
this morning and it only got updated later this afternoon after I
disconnected from it. And, yes I do have foreced writes on.
