I've read several articles about what the best data type is in
Firebird to store money. Some say Decimal, others Numeric, and yet
others Double Precision.

Many of these articles are quite old (some 5+ years), so I am
interested to see if anything on this topic has changed recently and
what is currently recommended. Also, has Firebird 2.0 introduced
anything new to consider on this topic?
