Helen,

Normally I would only point someone to the main project page
(www.firebirdsql.org), but as Rick has mentioned he uses some screen
reading software and I have no idea how well this software can render
the page, I thought I would copy the links he would need.

Both of the links I posted come DIRECTLY from the firebirdSQL website,
not some old link from a personal bookmark somewhere.

Quick Start Guide on the left panel points to the link I referenced.
The 1.5.3 installer link was taken from the appropriate link in the
'Win32 Superserver and Classic' section.

If these are the wrong files, then the firebirdsql website is pointing
to the wrong spot.

Again, I do not normally post direct links because the appropriate
package to download, and if Rick is able to follow the website then
that is a preferable link.
