Hello.
I have been runing/testing FB 1.5 Classic on following system
Dual Xeon 3 GHZ
4 GB RAM
140 GB Raid 5 (3 - 73 GB SCSI 10 K drives)
Firebird Classic 1.53 loaded from RPM
Are there any additional configuration settings I should tweak in
firebird.conf. I am runnng Suse Linux Enterprise 9 with Kernel
2.6.5-7.147-smp.
Initial user load was small 15 users. I have ramped up the count a
bit higher and I can getting sporadic errors. Basically connections
are dropping. I looked in the error log and my recent errors are
susedb Wed Apr 5 12:46:09 2006
INET/inet_error: read errno = 110
susedb Wed Apr 5 13:53:55 2006
INET/inet_error: read errno = 104
susedb Wed Apr 5 14:12:59 2006
INET/inet_error: read errno = 104
susedb Wed Apr 5 14:47:28 2006
INET/inet_error: read errno = 104
The databases were migrated from an existing Interbase 6 server and
are still Dialect 1? I plan on upgrading application to use Dialect 3
database, but I don't think that would cause any problems.
Databases were migrated using Portabl GBAK backup and restored on
Linux using FB 1.53. PRevious test runs passed with flying colors.
Any help or comments appreciated.
