I'm looking for answers regarding FB 2, but this is applicable to FB

How do I change the location of firebird.log and security(2).fdb? The
installation is on Linux, and the /opt file hierarchy is mounted
read-only. All writable files are being placed in directories under
/var/opt/firebird.

I notice there is a lock file isc_lock1.linux in /opt/firebird, can that
be relocated? It should be under /var/lock/firebird
