If you mean by "most DBs", different database systems, then "no". This
has nothing to do with that.

IB 6 introduced "dialect 3" as to avoid compatibility problems between
some new features and the older "dialect 1".

Transfer the metadata first by extracting a script. Then transfer the data
by using a source and destination connection to each server.

You need to have the server process running (Firebird: fbserver.exe)
