Have you tried running with "force write off" (async IO)

If you have stable OS + stable power supply (UPS) +Hardware=OK

I'm running 1 FB 1.53CS win2003 double/xeon/4 GB ram
2 FB 2.0CS win2003 double/xeon/4 GB ram
5 Redhat with FB 1.53 CS double/xeon/4 GB ram

downtime=0,corrupt=0,stress=0
