Does the Opteron have the equivalent of the Intel 'hyperthreading'?

Just curious, how long does it take for the backup/restore cycle on
your 25GB database? Do you see the backup or restore elapsed time
being wildly divergent from one day to the next? I've been tracking
those stats for over a year now, and can't explain what I see. I
would have expected a gradual increase in each as the database grows
(accounting for server load, of course), but that is not what I see.
I've been meaning to bring it up on this list for a while now.
