Hi,

at one client-side we sometimes get a deadlock which actually freezes
the server and leads to an entry "Deadlock" in firebird.log.

I think we have a good understanding about deadlocks, but if we simulate
deadlock-situations the system does never "freeze" other connections and
there is no entry in firebird.log.

My questions are:
What kind of deadlock leads to an entry in firebird.log?
Can anybody think of a deadlock-situation that blocks all other
connections?
