Hi Alex!

I tried creating your procedure on 2.0 and got
approximately the errors you mentioned when I forgot
to use "set term ^;". What happens if you try
to define a similar procedure without the RTRIM
and LTRIM? (You might do better on the support
list ... lots of eyes there check things very
well and may spot something I've missed.
