The IBX that comes with Delphi 5, will probably work. But, as Firebird
evolves, it might not be as compatible. We're currently using
IB-Objects(www.ibobjects.com) for the a little over 6 years now. And,
there are other component sets that exists: FIBPlus, MDO, UIB, Zeos
and a few others. Depending on your budget, some are free and some are
not free.

And, the best recommendation that I can give you is to try them and
see which one you like best. Also, all those that I mentioned above do
have TDataset descendants, so they will work with practically any
dataware components(the ones that you might have difficulty with are
those that try to use the BDE API functionality, which is most likely
very few).
