I have an app using the firebird db engine. this morning we
rebooted the server and everyone used the app fine. Then at 11:57
everyone is out. Here is the firebird.log:
CTYSVR-350-01 (Client) Wed Oct 04 08:45:02 2006
Guardian starting: F:\Program Files\Firebird\Firebird_1_5
\bin\fbserver.exe
CTYSVR-350-01 (Server) Wed Oct 04 11:57:57 2006
Shutting down the Firebird service with 9 active connection
(s) to 1 database(s)
CTYSVR-350-01 (Server) Wed Oct 04 11:57:57 2006
The database F:\PROGRAM FILES\ADMATE\DATABASE\ADMATE.GDB was
being accessed when the server was shutdown
CTYSVR-350-01 (Client) Wed Oct 04 11:57:57 2006
F:\Program Files\Firebird\Firebird_1_5\bin\fbserver.exe:
normal shutdown
CTYSVR-350-01 (Client) Wed Oct 04 11:57:57 2006
Control services error 1061
Apparently the service stopped, and then every folder within
firebird_1_5 went missing. bin is gone (not in the recycle bin) so
the service couldn't restart. No one initialized the restart, no
one but me had access to delete it, nothing else on my box is
affected and I have no viruses. Has anyone seen anything like this
before?
