Hi all,
With Firebird 1.5.2 SuperServer, I have slow performances on SOME
windows 2003 server with large bulk insert using IBO replication
component.
I have set Firebird's conf file to use a different disk for temporary file
I have had no probleme with 2000 server, and on the major parts of my
client inserting is fast, but with some of them, about 20 times slower.
I have installed a trial windows 2003 server SP1 with default setting
(just a file server)on a bare machine and have the problem
Here is what I have checked about their servers
- I have disabled OS Write cache on the database disk (no
significant improve)
- CPU are not hyperthread processor (different CPU from Pentium 900
MHz to Xeon 2 GHz)
- I have set OS to enhance Windows application instead of service
(no significant improve)
- there is no Shadow Copie on any of the disk
- when looking to the Performance monitor, Disk usage is near 100%
when I have the problem and just 40 % when it works fine
I don't mind what is wrong.
Help please !
Thanks
- on the same machine, I have no problem with Windows XP or Windows
2000 Server
