Good question ... I don't buy that hardware. There's another entire
department that does only that. I just write programs.
I suggest analyzing your specific application needs and determining what
kind of metrics you need before settling on brands and architectures.
You may do better with a rack of 64 bit Opteron's, depending on your
needs.
