I installed Firebird 1.5 with no problems. Both the firebird guardian and firebird server as running as services. I am able to install both CafeEnterprise Serveron the W3k server with no problem. I am also able to install CafeEnterprise client with no problem. But when I try to run the client it says that it can not find the host. Can microsoft SQL and firebird run on the same server and how can I verify the firebird is working properly.

FB can run with MSSQL without problems, take a look on the server's
firewall config if port 3050 is open:

try to telnet your_server_name_or_ip_address 3050

to see uf you get a connection.

see you !
