Hi Fernando,
You haven't mentioned any OS versions or anything,
But there is a problem in some flavours of Windows with the .gdb file
extension. Windows thinks it is an auto-recovery database and takes a
copy of it. Rename it to fdb.
Failing that, it could be a problem with Hyper Threading. Disable it in
BIOS and see if that helps.
