Subject Re: Connection with Open Office 2

Rob, I seem to recall that some time ago OO started to use Java as its
'scripting language' (I only know because the decision created some
controversy). So I did a quick google, and there are several
references to OO and connecting to dbs via JDBC:

http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:NpGpHSo0mqcJ:www.fwnetwork.com/description/openoffice.html+%22open+office%22+jdbc&hl=en&client=firefox-a
(only the cached version of that link contains the reference to JDBC)

Here is a link re connecting from OO to Postgresql:
http://archives.postgresql.org/pgsql-jdbc/2002-12/msg00115.php

Maybe you can find out in the OO docs about JDBC, and if you have any
problems come back to this list or the Firebird Java list.

Regards,

Bernard
