Hi,
we have a client with a database showing the following information on
gstat:
Database "/manager/gdb/EcomaxUBR2000.GDB"
Database header page information:
Flags 0
Checksum 12345
Generation 1439491
Page size 4096
ODS version 10.1
Oldest transaction 1316722
Oldest active 1316723
Oldest snapshot 1315494
Next transaction 1439471
Bumped transaction 1
Sequence number 0
Next attachment ID 0
Implementation ID 19
Shadow count 0
Page buffers 0
Next header page 0
Database dialect 1
Creation date Jul 11, 2005 13:17:48
Attributes force write
Variable header data:
Sweep interval: 0
Continuation file: /manager/gdb/EcomaxUBR20001.GDB
Last logical page: 250000
*END*
This machine (running latest FB SS & Fedora Core 3) show an absurd
memory usage by the fbserver process:
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
581 root 16 0 541m 352m 4972 S 0.7 70.2 29:25.33 fbserver
Any idea what may be causing this high memory usage? On other client,
with difference between OIT/OAT and Next Transaction the memory usage
is much lower.
The database size is around 2GB (split in 5 1GB files) and the server
is a Pentium 4 3.0Ghz (with HT) with 512MB of memory.
Regards
Rodrigo
