Hi group,
What can be the reason?
My (Delphi, Windows) application uses events.
I have 5 Firebirdservers to test with, 3 on the local net and two on
the internet, both behind firewalls.
Databaseconnections run fine on all of them.
When trying to register interest in events, it works on 4. It does not
work on a W2Kserver, FB-CS, via internet and behind a firewall.
- Ordinary databaseconnections work ok.
- upgraded from FB1.5.1 to 1.5.2 - problem still there
- set RemoteAuxport in conf - problem still there
Its not only that the event-registration does not work. The
client-program locks up AND the server won't accept any new connections.
Existing connections remain intact. Client lockup occurs with various
clientlibraries and various database connection compionents, like
FIBPlus, IBX, Zeos etc.
What might be the cause of this? Anyone any idea?
tia!
