Hello,
well i would like an opinion on an architecture question..
I am involved in a project..where users are processing sales at
terminals..which r connected to server at district levels..
every district has multiple sales office, and each sales office has
multiple POS terminal
now..we r using .net and windows app and firebird as database
i was wondering if i can use an embedded firebird with win app which
will be deployed at terinals, and after every transaction the FB
server at district will be updated..
First..is it possible? what issues can I face?I am looking at this
option since I feel processing will be faster if each terminal has
embeeded firebird which will be consisting of master tables, and other
tables required for conducting sales..main issue is that say a sales
office has 3 terminals..then sales conducted at each terminal will
have an affect on other terminals..which means other terminals must
be updated
Previously terminals just had an WindowsUI...and were connected
directly to FB server at district office..
thanks
