Hi,

just downloaded 1.5 for HP-UX 11i, installed it and I'm able to
connect (with isql) to the example database (connect
'/usr/local/firebird/examples/employee.fdb'). However, if I try to
use the IP address
(connect '192.68.1.100:/usr/local/firebird/examples/employee.fdb'), I
get an error:

Unable to complete network request to host "192.68.1.100". -Failed to
establish a connection.

I then tried Interbase (6.01) IBConsole from a PC using the TCP/IP
tab tests. Selecting port 3050, it finds GDS_DB and if gds_db is
selected, the TCP/IP Communcation Test Passed.

Has anyone experienced this problem before? Any resolutions, OS
patches required, etc?
