Hi All,

I am getting an error when trying to connect to a firebird machine running
Mandrake 9.1 and Firebird 1.5 Classic Server, the error is :
cannot start transaction on password database.

A couple of questions:
1.) I assume that this password database is the equivalent of isc4.gdb.

2.) Where do find this database?

3.) Any ideas on what to do to fix this other than to re-install firebird?

4.) How do I check on my Linux box what the exact version is of Firebird
installed e.g. Firebird 1.5.???
