Yes, without question and it's not a reverse DNS lookup. Please,
this is worth money to anyone who can help. My company is in a tight
spot. Our staff has been working on it all day and have yet to
resolve the problem.
Again to break it down. On our laptops and locally, app runs
perfectly. When using the app on the network or through an ip
address, extremely slow transactions. Even IBExpert lags when using
it. Yet when the db is copied onto the laptops or locally, the app
works fine.
I'm not saying this is a firebird issue per se but we have not
totally ruled out that it is not the problem. At this point it may
be the db or the .Net provider we are using. But then why would the
same provider be working on the laptops?? We've changed servers,
network cards, even changed ip addresses and used a different master
pc. Again any help would be appreciative and glaly rewarded.
