Hi All
I just installed Firebird SS on Mandrake 10.1. Everything is working
but the Mandrakelinux Control Center says that firebird is stopped!
In MCC, if I click the Stop button it does indeed stop Firebird. If I
click the Start button I get a series of errors which suggests it is
attempting to stop Firebird first:
Stopping Firebird Server: Unable to complete network request to host
- Failed to establish a connection
- Connection refused cannot attach to server
Despite this, it then goes on to successfully start Firebird. But it
still obstinately displays that firebird is stopped.
Is this a Firebird or Mandrake problem?
