Dont forget, if you dont have the time for re-training in syntax, and
bandwidth is not a problem you can consider Intraweb, with small chunks of
data you can make it very fast.
I have only used this before in POC and worked ok. I even used Intraweb with
ASTA middletier.
But maybe not. PHP I think might be something to look at

If you like Delphi and don't mind M$ platform you could look into ECO II
(for .NET) or Bold (for Win32). ECO II can sit beweet your web GUI and
the FB database. Web will be designed in ASP.NET I believe.
With Bold you' want BoldExpress from Neosight (www.neosight.com) for the
web stuff.
Not sure this would be ideal for a legacy DB, but for new stuff it's
excellent.
