I've had Interbase/Firebird databases running quite happily for 10
years. Things that some people consider essential are simply unrequired
overheads in other applications. Security is fine for me. Guests get
read only access, users are restricted to writing to where they are
allowed, and only supervisors can delete records!
As for transaction logging - IBLogManager can be bolted on and provides
a comprehensive facility for most activity.
