We got this error on a restore of a database.
gbak: cannot commit index RDB$FOREIGN14
gbak: ERROR: unsuccessful metadata update
gbak: ERROR: object CPTMOD is in use
gbak: ERROR: action cancelled by trigger (3) to preserve data integrity
This restore is part of our rebuild process in which we:
- verify that there are no connections
- shut down the database
- shut down the db engine
- start guardian
- backup the database
- save the original database
- restore the database (ERROR)
- confirm successful restore
- bring the database back online
If the database is offline, why would we get "object CPTMOD is in use"?
