I'll leave the backup question to the experts, but I am working in Delphi 5
with
a Firebird Database and IBX 5.04. It needs to have firebird installed with
the
gds32.dll file in order to pretend to IBX that it is Interbase, but
everything
at the moment seems to work OK.

I'm not sure whether future versions of firebird ( 2 and beyond) will
continue
to work in this environment.

- Backup my GDB File in Interbase 6.02 and restore in Firebird 1.5 or
above, is enought to start ?
