Your statistics disagree with this statement. You could try using
IB_SQL (www.ibobjects.com), connect to your database and see a list of
all connections to the database. If there is more than the one
connection that you just made with IB_SQL, then you will be one step
closer to finding your problem (there should be other ways than using
IB_SQL as well, I've just never used anything else for finding who is
connected).
