Dear friends,
I have set up a Firebird database (superserver 1.5.2.4731) as backend to an
Apache server on a Windows 2000 Server on Intel Xeon 3.06 GHz (1 cpu) box
with 1 GB Ram.
I have written a script to do daily backup using gbak. My client plans to
install Symantec Livestate Recovery on the box for regular backup. My
inclination is to exclude *.fdb from the Symantec backup, but apparently
the Symantec product documentation claims that it is OK to use it back up
database files. Has anyone had experience with this backup tool and/or
what is the official recommendation from the Firebird support group?
Thanks,
Walter
