So where did you get the download you are working with? All the
Firebird downloads are on www.firebirdsql.org which also hase links here

So WHAT are you trying to run? Sounds like an old version of Interbase?

There should not be anything on 3060 - that is used by the event
messages when they are working.

Well a starting point might be to tell us which version of things you
are trying to run, but downloading the current Firebird will probably
help.
