I hope that you can help. We have a situation with our tool where the
multi-threading apps that we have created lock up at random intervals and
report deadlocks. This does not seem to be OS platform related or Firebird
version related and we are looking at some better control to try and avoid
this, but with an app our size this is quite a task. In the mean time I
would like to run some form of tracing tool that can monitor down to the SQL
level sent to firebird to try and see if there are some specific areas we
should work on first. We have been looking at a tool from CA called Vantage
that gives this level of detail, but the price tag is a bit on the steep
side. Does anyone know of any other tools that can assist? We have a two
tier app that has a Delphi front end and a Firebird (1.5 CS) database. We
are even getting these issues when the database is stored on a Linux OS.
